Cooking Timer
Run multiple kitchen timers simultaneously. Label each timer for different dishes and get alerts as each one finishes.
Cooking Timer Uses
Multi-Dish Meals
Coordinate timing for multiple dishes to serve everything hot.
Baking
Track different items in the oven with separate timers.
Meal Prep
Time multiple prep tasks like marinating, boiling, and roasting.
Several dishes, one screen
Run up to four timers side by side, each with its own label ("rice", "chicken", "sauce", "bread") and its own alert, so that a whole meal can be timed from one page. Timers start independently, can be paused individually, and each chime is distinct enough to tell apart from the next room. The page title shows the timer that finishes soonest. Labels and durations are remembered on this device, which makes a weekly dish a one-tap setup.
Working backwards from serving time
The professional method for a meal with several components is to plan from the plate backwards. Decide the serving time, write each component's cooking time plus any resting time, and subtract to find when each must start. A roast chicken that needs 80 minutes plus 15 resting starts 95 minutes before serving; the potatoes that need 45 minutes go in 50 minutes before; the green vegetables that need 5 minutes start 6 minutes before. Set one timer per start point, or one per cooking process, and the timers do the remembering. Resting time is a slot, not dead time: it is exactly when the vegetables finish and the gravy is made.
